Morning Consult conducted this nationwide poll online from October 25-30, 2023 among a sample of 10,031 adults. State-level results are estimated by a multi-level regression and post-stratification (MRP) model weighted by age, race/ethnicity, gender, and educational attainment within each state. Results from the full survey have a margin of error of plus or minus 1 percentage points.

NACDS’ work in health and wellness innovation keeps pharmacy at the core. Yet it expands to broader health and wellness opportunities throughout the store and beyond.

“Pharmacy Plus” Means:

Nutrition Education

There is growing proof of the connection between the foods you eat and your health and well-being. Eating more nutritious foods can help reduce your risk of diet-related heart diseases, diabetes, and many types of cancer.

Food Is Medicine

NACDS is advancing “food is medicine” – which recognizes the potential of food to help prevent and manage chronic diseases. In June 2024, the Milken Institute released an Action Plan for pharmacist-provided food is medicine care.

Data to Drive Services

NACDS is boosting the focus on pharmacy data interoperability. A Leavitt Partners report shows the importance of data-sharing to unleash pharmacist-provided services – which improve patient access and outcomes.

Spotlight: National Immunization Awareness Month

In recognition of National Immunization Awareness Month, NACDS is highlighting the importance of vaccinations for people of all ages — and emphasizing the role of NACDS-member pharmacies in supporting the public’s health through vaccination access and uptake, and by providing a variety of chronic disease management and prevention services.
